Danger and Play: Essays on Embracing Masculinity is live. Essays on Embracing Masculinity contains some of my best work from five years of writing at Danger & Play, and is available for sale exclusively at Amazon.
Essays on Embracing Masculinity is Kindle only, which is great. Here’s why.
Is Essays on Embracing Masculinity missing an essay that should be included?
Did a bad essay get included?
The Kindle file can be updated to add more essays or to take out something that snuck in.
The paperback version will be released once feedback arrives.
(The first review has been posted here.)
Thank you EVERYONE!
Thank you to all who have been around. This started off as a hobby blog to blow off some steam, and it became a huge success. Always dream big! It’s been a wild ride at Danger & Play, and the ride will only get wilder. We’re in the film business now!
Thank you haters, for spreading the message. Continue hating on me on all of the hate sites and keep sharing my “mean Tweets” and “offensive articles” with the world.
Thank you Sam Biddle for writing about me on Gawker. Your attack on me made it into my marketing material. You’re the best, Sam! (Your copy of Essays on Embracing Masculinity will arrive once it’s in paperback – in time for Christmas!)
Thank you for forming a “public shaming” hate mob around me last year. I would not be where I am today without your support.
You can buy Essays on Embracing Masculinity on Amazon.
P.S. Thanks to “Artful,” who I had the good fortune of meeting at the London Seminar, for the cover design and title ideal; and thanks to Matt Forney for his editorial services. If you find any typos, complain to Matt.

Inside Marketing Baseball: The Real (Two) Reasons I’m Releasing Essays on Embracing Masculinity
I’m releasing this collection of essays for two reasons. First is because I hate that current customers and clients go on the back burner.
We all know the drill. When you sign up for a gym membership or cell phone, you’re at the front of the line. Once the company has your money, you’re shipped off to customer service hell when you have a problem or when you want something.
You guys have been great to me, so I want to be great to you. You wanted a best of collection: Even though it’s a pain in the ass to do and won’t be a huge profit center, I did one.
Second, the collection of essays is a new entry point for new readers. Gorilla Mindset is my signature product, and Gorilla Mindset is what I want everyone to buy. I am going to sell 100,000 copies of Gorilla Mindset.
People actually agonize over whether to buy a $8.99 Kindle book. As I spend thousands of dollars a year investing in myself, agonizing over a Kindle book purchase is not a mindset I can understand.
It’s probably best that people do not find my writing at all as they do not believe in themselves enough to spend the cost of a couple of lattes to build themselves up.
Essays on Masculinity will be priced at 50% during pre-sale. Anyone curious about me or my writing will be able to pick it up at a price that won’t give them a moment’s hesitation.
That said, if I leave Essays on Masculinity at 50% off, I’ve devalued my writing. It will attract a low-level audience of readers who do not believe in investing in themselves. They’ll pollute the comments and lower our collective consciousness.
Anyhow, you have a few days to buy Essays on Masculinity for a reduced price. After that, the price will go up.
